Tell me a little bit about yourself/background and why you started with interiors/flowers. I started my career as an interior designer then moved across to retail and opening stores and concessions. Originally I just brought a few flowers for decoration from a brand and then saw how popular they are. My sister who is a partner in the biz used to work for some incredible leading florists in London for 20 years so we then had this idea of creating a faux flower collection that echoed the rhythms of the seasons and felt wild, foraged and beautiful. The rest is history and they are our biggest seller. What do you think is the easiest way to change an interior/room? Easiest and most transformative way of changing a room is through colour. Its the cheapest and has the biggest impact. What is the biggest mistake we tend to do when decorating? One of the biggest mistakes is putting the brakes on, I think so many of us are fearful of getting things wrong we don't do anything at all. What should you splurge on and what can you spend less on? I would splurge on finishes - good quality paint, wallpaper, flooring for example. You can save on accessories, buy vintage, buy from the heart and don't follow trends. How do you create an amazing interior with flowers? Where should you put them, should there be specific flowers in specific rooms/parts of the room, how do you create the best mix of flowers together? Nope don't worry about what flowers should go in what rooms far too restrictive, just follow your heart and go for what you love. For example in my lower ground floor I have a lot of trailing plants, giant thistles and succulents. In my bathroom a lot of staghorn, in my bedroom meadow flowers. If you're not a florist and you can't put an arrangement together easily like I can't then just cluster in the same colour family that always works. What piece of furniture/ piece of decoration would you never put in your own home? I would never go white or pale again or put any print that is too feminine in my house, but then interiors are so personal if you love it go for it, I say. Thank you Abigail, so inspiring!
